- Your scripts, video takes and audio recordings are stored only on your iPhone. We do not have servers that receive them, and we cannot see them.
- Camera, microphone and Photos access are requested only when you use the feature that needs them.
- Voice Follow speech recognition runs on your iPhone using Apple's on-device speech technology.
- We do not collect, sell or share personal data, and we do not track you.
Who we are
FoldPrompt is a teleprompter and camera recording app for iPhone, including iPhone Duo. It is published on the App Store by Thoufeek Baber ("we", "us"). You can reach us at thoufeekbaber1@gmail.com.
Information FoldPrompt stores on your device
Everything below is created by you and kept inside FoldPrompt's private storage on your iPhone. None of it is sent to us.

If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, Apple's backup may include FoldPrompt's app data, as it does for most apps. That backup is controlled by you and Apple under Apple's terms; we do not receive it.
Permissions and how they are used
Camera
Used to show a live preview and record video takes. FoldPrompt asks the first time you open the recorder. Video stays on your iPhone.
Microphone
Used to record sound with your video takes, to make audio-only recordings, and, if you turn on Voice Follow, to let the teleprompter follow your voice. FoldPrompt asks the first time you record or start Voice Follow.
Speech recognition (Voice Follow)
Voice Follow is an optional prompt mode that scrolls your script as you speak. It uses Apple's Speech framework (SpeechAnalyzer and SpeechTranscriber), which transcribes speech on your iPhone. FoldPrompt does not send your voice or transcripts to us or to any third party, and transcripts are used only in the moment to find your place in the script; they are not saved.
The first time you use Voice Follow in a language, iOS may need to download Apple's speech recognition model for that language. That download comes from Apple and is managed by iOS; it does not include your audio. If the model is not available, FoldPrompt offers Auto-scroll instead. Voice Follow is available on supported iOS versions and languages only.
Photos (add only)
FoldPrompt asks for permission to add to your Photos library only when you tap Save to Photos. It uses add-only access, so it cannot read, browse or change the photos and videos already in your library.
Files
If you choose to import a script, iOS shows the system file picker and FoldPrompt reads only the plain-text file you select.
Sharing
FoldPrompt never shares your content on its own. When you tap Share, iOS opens the standard share sheet and you choose where your recording goes (for example Messages, Mail, AirDrop or another app). What happens next is governed by the app or service you choose.
What we do not do
- No account or sign-in, so we hold no names, emails or passwords.
- No analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
- No advertising identifier and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing of personal information.
- No uploading of scripts, recordings, voice or transcripts.
This website
This website (foldprompt.thoufeekxlabs.com) counts anonymous page views and button clicks so we know which pages are useful. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses, device identifiers or personal data. We keep only daily totals (for example, the number of App Store button clicks, the referring website and the visitor's country as reported by our host, Cloudflare). This does not apply to the FoldPrompt app, which collects no data.
Information Apple may provide to us
Apple gives developers aggregate App Store and app usage statistics, and crash reports from people who have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings. This information is collected by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, does not include your scripts or recordings, and is used by us only to fix problems and improve FoldPrompt. You can turn this off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
If you email us
If you contact support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to answer you and keep it only as long as needed to help you. Please do not send recordings or scripts unless you want us to see them.
Deleting your data
- Scripts: delete a script in FoldPrompt's script library.
- Recordings: in FoldPrompt, open Settings > Storage and tap Delete All Recordings.
- Everything: delete the FoldPrompt app from your iPhone. iOS removes all of FoldPrompt's scripts, takes, recordings and settings stored in the app.
- Videos you saved to Photos or shared to another app are copies outside FoldPrompt; manage them in Photos or that app.
Because we never receive your content, there is nothing on our side to delete.
Children
FoldPrompt is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data a company holds about you. Because FoldPrompt does not collect personal data, we generally hold none. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at thoufeekbaber1@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of FoldPrompt changes how data is handled (for example by adding an optional cloud feature or in-app purchase), we will update this page and the App Store privacy details before that version is released, and change the effective date above.
